A Chinese government official states that a few hundred Chinese businesses are offering similar plans to their employees across the country. And while some are offering subsidies on the purchase of Huawei branded phones, others also include ZTE handsets bought by their workers. ZTE, like Huawei, has also been called a national security threat by the U.S. government. Earlier this year, the U.S. Commerce Department imposed an Export Ban on the manufacturer, which nearly forced ZTE to shut down.

Additionally, an 8-megapixel selfie snapper is listed among the specs. Completing the whole setup will be a 6-inch display, stock Android 9 Pie, and a battery that sits between 3,400 and 3,500mAh in capacity. In regards to which device this is, at the moment there is no official confirmation.
However, most of the details – except for the processor and RAM count – line up with those of the Nokia 3.1 Plus. This would suggest that it could be a separate variant of the device destines for markets such as the US.
